Conference Speakers

Dr. Art Azurdia  is Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology and Director of Pastoral Mentoring at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He planted Christ Community Church in Fairfield, CA, and served as pastor there for 19 years.  Art is the author of “Spirit Empowered Preaching” and “Connected Christianity: Engaging Culture Without Compromise” and a contributing author in three additional volumes: “The Compromised Church”, “Reforming Pastoral Ministry” and “Heralds of the King: Christ-Centered Sermons”. He is a frequent speaker at various national and international conferences and is currently pastoring a brand new church plant called Trinity Church in the Portland area.

Mike Atkinson has been pastor of Agape Outpost Chapel, Breckenridge, CO, since January 1988. He received his bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology from University of Central Florida in 1981 and his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 1987. Mike completed his Doctor of Ministry at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2009. Mike married his beautiful wife Carolyn in January 1982. They are blessed with two awesome kids, Daniel and Rachael. Mike’s passion is to see people from all nations connect with Jesus Christ in worship and service in His Kingdom.
