Find It Here Door Hanger Saves A Life

Living Branch Community Fellowship in Englewood just completed their Spring Revival in partnership with Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Wort, Texas. During the preparation for the revival the Church distributed nearly 600 door hangers to the high concentration of apartment complexes in its area.

While the "results" from the door hangers may have seemed questionable, Tuesday evening they received a phone call from an obviously distraught caller we will call John (name changed).

John cried throughout the phone message he left, thanking them for leaving the flyer on his door and how it had caused him to think, a lot. He talked about how he believed in Jesus, but had fallen into a life of sin.

And then he used some language that caused them great concern. Speaking of "knowing what he needed to do", it was obvious to us that he meant to do himself harm. But without leaving a phone number or address, they were helpless to intervene, so they thought. So they did what they could. They Prayed!

Trusting God with the outcome, they conducted Tuesday nights revival meeting and shared John's phone call as a prayer request that evening. The next morning, at 6:09am, John called back and left another message. This time, leaving his phone number. They were able to contact John, and share with him the love, forgiveness, and hope we have found in Christ Jesus. John joined them the next morning for their men's breakfast and shared with them, "The Door Hanger Saved My Life!"

So the next time someone says that Door to Door contacts don't work, try to convince John of that. Jesus Himself said, "I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me." (Rev 3:20-21).
