31 Days of Prayer for the Church

Pastor Kevin Carrothers of Rochester FBC in Rochester, IL composed the following "SO THAT" 31 days of prayers for the church.  Following the prayers for each day are the Scriptural foundations for each prayer.  Use them to strengthen your church.

Day 1  O Lord, You are the Sovereign of all things.
You are the Creator and Sustainer
I confess we have sinned and fallen short of Your glorious holiness.
I pray that You will forgive us our corporate and personal sins.

Day 2  SO THAT Your people may possess pure hearts;

Day 3  SO THAT Your people may have renewed minds;

Day 4  SO THAT Your people may hunger and thirst for righteousness;

Day 5 SO THAT Your people may worship You in complete devotion and exemplary praise;

Day 6   SO THAT Your people may feast on the delicacies of Your Word;

Day 7  SO THAT Your people my learn Your truth;

Day 8  SO THAT Your people may understand Your precepts;

Day 9  SO THAT Your people may walk in Your paths of righteousness;

Day 10  SO THAT Your people may be a peculiar and holy people;

Day 11 SO THAT Your people may conduct themselves in a manner pleasing to You, O Lord.

Day 12 SO THAT Your church may desire an intimate fellowship with You and with one another;

Day 13 SO THAT Your church may live in unity and one accord;

Day 14 SO THAT Your church may exercise their Spiritual gifts for the edification of Your body;

Day 15 SO THAT Your church may serve You with gladness;

Day 16 SO THAT Your church may glorify Your name by their love for one another;

Day 17 SO THAT Your church may pursue what promotes peace;

Day 18 SO THAT Your church may defend the truth of the Gospel;

Day 19 SO THAT Your church may proclaim the incomparable and glorious riches of Your grace;

Day 20 SO THAT Your church may share the good news of Jesus Christ to a lost and unbelieving generation;

Day 21 SO THAT Your church may make disciples of all believers;

Day 22 SO THAT Your kingdom may expand for Your Name’s sake.

Day 23 SO THAT Your redemptive purposes may be achieved for Your Name’s sake;

Day 24 SO THAT Your light may dispel the darkness of sin for Your Name’s sake;

Day 25 SO THAT Your holiness may be revealed to all the world for Your Name’s sake;

Day 26 SO THAT Your will may prevail for Your Name’s sake;

Day 27 SO THAT Your work may be accomplished for Your Name’s sake;

Day 28 SO THAT Your justice my be known by all for Your Name’s sake;

Day 29 SO THAT Your grace may around to those who seek you for Your Name’s sake;

Day 30 SO THAT Your creation may praise You for Your Name’s sake;

Day 31 SO THAT Your Name be exalted above all other names.

Day 1
